Sprint today announced the 2010 Sprint Fan Vote, which allows race fans to choose which eligible driver gets to compete in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, will open next Wednesday, March 24. Voting will continue until one hour before the start of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race, Saturday, May 22, at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.
In 2009, Joey Logano became only the second Sprint Cup Series rookie to be voted into the Sprint All-Star Race field. Martin Truex, Jr., earned the Sprint Fan Vote in 2005 during his rookie campaign.
“I was completely blown away last year when I won the Sprint Fan Vote into the Sprint All-Star Race,” Logano said. “I’ve said it several times before. That was one of the best moments of the year last year for me. To come out as a rookie and get that kind of fan support is something I certainly didn’t expect. The Home Depot Team has always raced in the Sprint All-Star Race, so I knew it was important to them. I have the fans and Sprint to thank for keeping that tradition alive.”
Fans can cast unlimited votes for their favorite driver during the March 24 – May 22 voting window. Sprint customers can vote using the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile application on their Sprint or Nextel devices. As an added incentive for customers, every wireless vote submitted from a Sprint or Nextel device counts double towards a driver’s vote total.
To download the new NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, which is free with any data plan, Sprint customers should text “NASCAR” to 7777 (Standard text messaging and data rates apply.)
Anyone may also cast a ballot by logging on to www.NASCAR.com or visiting the Sprint Experience display, located in the midway at all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
To be eligible for the Sprint Fan Vote, drivers must have finished in the top 50 of the final 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver point standings, attempted to qualify for the 2010 Daytona 500 or competed in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event during the 2009 or 2010 season. The driver accumulating the most votes, who also finishes the Sprint Showdown qualifying race on the lead lap, will earn a spot in the prestigious All-Star field. The Sprint Fan vote winner will be announced immediately following the completion of the Sprint Showdown.
Two years ago, Kasey Kahne became the first driver to parlay his Sprint Fan Vote win into a victory in the Sprint All-Star event.
Past Sprint Fan Vote winners include Ken Schrader (2004), Truex, Jr. (2005), Kyle Petty (2006), Kenny Wallace (2007), Kasey Kahne (2008 – Sprint All-Star Race Winner) and Logano (2009).
Tune in at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, May 22 to SPEED to see who will win the Sprint Fan Vote for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Sprint customers can watch the announcement, as well as SPEED’S coverage of the entire All-Star race, on their Sprint phones via NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile. Tickets for the event start at $39 and are available at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com or by calling 800-455-FANS.

Come on everybody this is our chance to show everybody how loyal of fans we are to Bill.I will be voting early and often.
Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually think that Bill won the vote last year!!! I really do!!! How can you not when your the sports all time most popular driver??? AWESOME BILL FOREVER!!!
Are Bill and the Wood Brothers even going to be there? If so, get the word out. Also, how about everyone e-mail a sponsor (the same one) to get Bill and the Wood Brothers sponsorship for a 5 race deal at least. I think a Coors #21 would be “Awesome.” Would the Woods accept a beer deal? The 21 is the perfect # to advertise responsible drinking at the legal age (21). How about McDonald’s? 21 is the perfect age to have 5 or 6 years under your belt toward retirement. This team needs money. I am convinced they can win some races with sponsorship. Mark Martin is not the only 50+ year old who can win. Bill was better then, and he is better NOW!
PS Go Chase!!!
Everybody vote often for Bill!
I think whoever has the hightest paying sponsor wins the fan vote. There is NO WAY Bill lost the fan vote after the push many of us Bill fans put in last year. But, I will vote early and often
You know I saw Coors or Doug Kallita’s NHRA top fuel dragster last weekend on t.v. So we know that Coors is sponsoring motorsports. That would really be a win win for all parties involved. Reuniting Bill Elliott with Coors Beer. No question that would be VERY popular. Cindy you all should contact Coors. Start back up with them again.
Well maybe Home Depot helped Joey out, but maybe we could get Ford to help Bill out if enough of you write them and ask???
We havecontacted Coors and McDonalds. No GO on either sorry. But were still sending out proposals and still trying. It’s a different group of administrators now who don’t know the history.
I tend to agree with your thinking but I am going to try even harder this yeare none the less.
They are going to be there. I like your thinking.
Hello there my fellow Bill fans!!! First timer here so bare with me…I’ve been following Bill since he started making headlines in 1985. Living in CA., I wasn’t exposed to much racing early in my life. But when Bill was winning in 1985 his headlines got my attention. I love Fords, I really love Coors, and when I finally caught an interview of Bill…Well…I was hooked!!! He was just so normal, so easy-going, and so easy to root for. Since then I’ve traveled to numerous races all across the US to watch and pull for Awesome Bill!!! I’ve had the good-fortune to meet him a couple of times, and have a few autographed things around the house. I think the pairing of Bill and the Wood Bros is just great. Patience, perseverance, and hard work are starting to slowly pay off for the 21 race team. Go get ‘em Bill!!! We love watching you race.
Cindy, try some really unique sponsors’ such as Dell Computers or Just For Men hair people, please keep up the good work. I love to see Bill race!
Why not budweiser? they’re with his old car/#/and team. they’re fords now as well. to see a red budweiser ford on the track with bill driving would be pretty cool. that would also bring back some really good memories…
I went to Fordracing.com this morning and thanked them for their involvement. And a gentle please for additional help. This is an official Ford website. But, if there is a different or better one let us know. TFR (Team Ford Racing). You don’t have to sign up for anything. Just look for the Contact Us button.

Wow-someone out there thinking about Dell. Had that thought too but would also agree with Budweiser getting involved. I can remember them having 2 cars on the track in the 1980′s.
Cindy maybe Budweiser would agree to let him show Bud light as a sponsor ? Heck if I was a multimillionaire I’d help ! : ) But I have this t-bird to restore…
I don’t understand sponsors; I can’t think of anyone that buys Little Debbie snack cakes or shops at Kroger because of Marcos Ambrose or anyone that buys Budweiser because of Kasey Kahne, who buys Shell gas because of Kevin Harvick?? This is just a few of sponsorships that don’t make any sense to me. But I do know people that bought Thunderbirds (FORDS) because of Bill Elliott. I still have mine!
It would be great to see Bill in the All-Star race. He is without a doubt, an All-Star! Let’s not miss out on how cool it is that, we the fans get to write all our ideas and some blah, blah, blah and Cindy takes the time to read and respond. I would say that makes her an “Awesome” wife. Thanks.
Cindy, try Raymond James Financial.we know they have the funding and they were at one time going to sponsor joe nemechek.there home office is in St Petersburg FL 33716.
Okay, any special contact person there?
Some days I wonder too and I have worked with sponsors for 20 years!
idk.
Ford has always done a tremendous amount for Bill and the Wood Brothers. I don’t really see how they could do any more than what they are doing with them and they are doing a lot with Chase as well so…
I will send them a proposal. Good idea.
cindy,It would be Tom James in the carillon center in st petersburg.800-248-8863. Good Luck!!!!
