That 1992 Richmond race was great. My brother and I were in different states and watched the end of that race while on the phone. He was a Kulwicki & Elliott fan, I was for Bill all the way, so exciting side by side and Bill won out. A great memory with ny brother, means even more today as he is battling brain cancer. Thanks for the memory Bill!!

I just read on Jayski that Bill is entered to drive the 97 for Joe Nemecheck again and this time he’s gauranteed in the show. I can’t wait if nothing else this will be good seat time before Daytona.

Cindy,
I see Bill is entered at Talladega this Sunday with the #97. Is he a start & park or is he & Joe going for it?
I am tempering my excitement until I know he is running the whole race.
Thank-you Joe.

The car was not the best at daytona, hopefully more competitive or he will not be able to keep up with the draft. I am praying he is in it and has at least a slightly competitive car, if he does, a top 10 or so is possible with Bill.

Bill won’t start n park period. He’ll run that car until the wheels come off and then probably put them back on again to run more laps.

Bill racing @ Talladega + Daytona-COOL !!

I don’t pay attention to a lot these days on the cup stuff unless Bill is racing. Anyway I noticed that the 32 car is owned by the Cat in the litter box Jack. I thought Frankie Stoddard owned that whole operation. I’m thinking nothing has changed. Roush owns all the Ford teams. That’s just pitiful.
jeff dickson said: 2012.05.03 09:27
If he starts and parks, I’m done. It’s like a boxer stepping into the ring taking one punch and falling to the ground to get a pay day. Especially when you’ve pulled for him for so long and spend your hard earned money to watch him race.
Shannon Sanford said: 2012.05.03 09:37
Joe,
Frankie Stoddard worked a deal out with Roush to get the #6 car’s (David Ragan) owners points. Frankie is just playing the same game as the rest by buying points.
Bill has the lock (Past Champions Provisional) to Talladega this Sunday. Now if Joe Nemechek can put a hot rod under the hood in the #97, it should be interesting. I don’t see this being a start & park deal. All 43 cars have an equal chance of winning at restrictor plate races. It’s a crap-shoot!
Let’s all get get behind Bill & NEMCO Motorsports! GO #97

This is wonderful news. I am always delighted to hear that Awesome Bill is hoping to give us a show. And he does not need to rig the car to qualify in this impound race. He can set it up to race on Sunday. I still won’t believe it until Cindy posts us a note on here confirming.
Who is the crew chief?
Is Chase spotting?
Who is the sponsor?
What does the car look like?
What is Joe don’t make the race?
I guess Rained out Thursday. Practice on Friday should answer a lot.
And to think I turned down tickets just last week. Should have taken em.
The track record holder back in the race.

Go, Bill, Go, you brought the inferior Finch car to 11th at Daytona, most of all, have fun and go for it at the end, just don’t lose the draft!
Just great to know you get some seat time.

Not sure why Joe keeps having Bill park it just to bring it back out again…maybe just trying to get the 97 maximum points over the cars that keep going out or blowing up as well asletting Bill get some more laps. Just really surprised to see both Joe and Bill park it since Joe usually runs the plate races. Maybe Joe getting screwed in the NNS race yesterday had something to do with it. Its too bad too since it looked like Bill and the car had some good speed. Wish bill could catch a break…hes still got it!
evan said: 2012.05.06 15:14
Sounds like Joe intended to let Bill run the whole race but they had an issue with the throttle body and EFI system. Decent of Joe to let Bill run even though he parked himself just sucks that the car had an issue that stopped them from running.
It was fast for the first 12 laps
I was monitoring the race radio with raceview and Bill said the car would not run wide open.
The tried to fix it at least twice each time Bill would make it about a lap and a half and the car would quit. It would idle just not run.
I was hoping they would just pull the ECU out of the 87 and give it a try since it was parked , in fact they may have tried that..
wm. tornatore said: 2012.05.07 18:22

Heard on the scanner that it was something to do with the Throttle body and EFI system. Car would just quit running then start up again. They took a part of Joes car at one point but sounds like the issue was pretty much terminal. Real classy of Joe though to intend to have Bill run the whole thing even though he parked his own car himself. Wish there were more drivers like Joe and Bill out there…I miss the days of Rusty Walllace, Dale Jarrett, Ricky Rudd, Terry Labonte and the like. The majority of the “drivers” out there today make me sick to my stomach. Having to watch and hear Joey Logano in victory Lane at Dega in the NNS race was truly sickening…Joe should have won that race.
